Sure, Thanksgiving is right around the corner, but you know what major food holiday comes after Thanksgiving? Chanukah! That’s right, Chanukah—a Jewish celebration that even a goy can enjoy, thanks to the semi-official food of the holiday: latkes, aka potato pancakes. And if you’re a true latke freak, Jewish or not, there’s a party for you: the third annual Latke Festival at BAM. (via Gothamist)

We’re fans of celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson and are salivating at the prospect of his Harlem restaurant, Red Rooster, opening soon! It will feature a mix of all the classic ethnic (Southern, Italian and Jewish) cuisines of Harlem and will showcase live music in a basement performance space.
Harlem + Bespoke just posted pictures of new signage in the windows, which is giving them hope that the restaurant will open in the next month or so!
