Capturing the Spirit of Red Hook…Brooklyn, New York (via The Brooklyn Ink)
This is one of our favorite Tumblrs! Is all about a girl as she follows the glow in search of New York’s best neon signs. Every week she visits another one of New York City’s neon-clad establishments and posts a photo & story - about why she’s traipsing around this metropolis in the cold & dark to visit pharmacies, shoe repair stores, and bars with good neon signs to buy cough syrup, get my shoes repaired or have a drink.

When you think of IKEA, you think of reasonably priced, flat boxed furniture, and all the frustrating hours spent putting it together. However, if you haven’t been to their Restaurant, then you’re missing out on delicious and cheap meals (go for the $1.99 breakfast special or the $4.99 Swedish Meatballs). Further, if you go on August 19th, for $9.99 you can enjoy one of three seatings at their All You Can Eat Crayfish Buffet! Seriously, we’re not joking, you should go to this.

Grab your food, find a seat, watch the first Futbol games of the season and feel like you’ve been transported to a small Latin American town.

We’re bracing ourselves for more snow tonight…which got us daydreaming about summertime fun! Especially upon hearing that the Brooklyn Bridge Park officials announced that they’re applying to dock a brand new floating pool at the yet-to-be-built Pier 5! We had a grand time when the pool was there way back in 2007 and can’t wait for it to happen again. All the park needs is money…about $5-10 million of it!
