New Yorkers don’t see many fairs or carnivals. We have seen them on TV and in movies but chances are most of us have never actually been to one. Unexpectedly, Bowlmore Lanes, a bowling alley near Union Square, decided to bring a carnival to city in classic New York style; by merging it with a night club.

New Williamsburg Bar’s Mechanical Rodeo is No Bull
Viva El Toro, a massive bar and restaurant that just opened on Berry Street, installed the borough’s sole mechanical bull, and you can saddle up for free. It’s a wild ride — daring enough that you have to sign an injury release form — that’s garnered so much attention, people from as far and wide as Manhattan are braving the L train for their shot at straddling glory.
